NCCAOM Diplomate
About Van Lam
Practitioner.
Not a protocol.
Van Lam is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist, licenced in Ontario and holding NCCAOM Diplomate credentials. She practises classical constitutional diagnosis — pulse, tongue, and the full picture of how a person is actually living — before anything is decided about treatment.
Her approach draws on the Quantum Elemental Model™ (QEM™), a constitutional framework that maps the body's elemental balance and points toward the root of chronic patterns, not merely their symptoms. She works alongside her clinical partner, Vu Le (R.TCMP, R.Ac) at vule.ca, and both practices share the same rural Mono clinic space.
Appointments are by arrangement only. She prefers to be reached by text.
Clinical practice
What we do —
and how.
Two classical modalities, one constitutional view. Every visit builds on what came before. Nothing is rushed.
Acupuncture
Fine needles placed at specific points to shift how qi moves through the body's channels. Effective for pain, stress, sleep, hormonal regulation, digestive complaints, and conditions that haven't responded to other approaches. Eligible for most extended health benefit plans.
Herbal Medicine
Classical Chinese herbal formulas, custom-blended for each patient's constitution. Not off-the-shelf supplements — granule medicines prepared and dispensed in-clinic. The first 5-day formula is included in the herbal consultation fee. Same-formula refills can be arranged by text.
Constitutional Diagnosis
Pulse reading, tongue observation, and a careful case history — the classical intake that informs everything else. The QEM™ framework maps your elemental constitution and helps identify the root of patterns that have persisted despite other treatments. First visit is always an assessment.

What arriving feels like.
The clinic sits in a natural setting north of Orangeville — surrounded by trees, away from traffic, on a quiet rural road. The treatment space is bright and spacious, with high ceilings and daylight, simply furnished. Unhurried. Nothing clinical about it except the care.
Patients consistently note the difference that the setting makes — it is easier to arrive somewhere quiet when the work of getting well asks you to slow down.
